Chapter 6. FRU information (service only)
Field Replacement Units (FRUs) should be replaced by qualified service personnel
only.
Note: Read“Safety information” on page 107 and “Before you begin” on page 42.
Diskette/CD-ROM drives
To remove the diskette/CD-ROM drive:
1. Power off the server.
2. Remove the cover. See “Removing the cover” on page 44.
3. Disconnect the cables for the floppy disk drive and the CD-ROM drive from the
system board.
4. Remove the fans. See “Fan assembly replacement” on page 59.
5. Remove the screws.
6. Gently pull back and up to remove the drives from the chassis.
