The battery gives off explosive gases; keep sparks, flames, and
cigarettes away. Provide adequate ventilation when charging or
using batteries.
DC Operation
Connecting the battery charging cables:
WARNING:
Wash hands after handling.
POSITIVE TERMINAL
(RED)
NEGATIVE TERMINAL
(BLACK)
DC CIRCUIT
PROTECTOR
The DC terminals may ONLY be used for charging 12-volt automotive
type batteries.
Start the generator.
Do not start the vehicle while the battery charging cable is connected
and the generator is running. The vehicle or the generator may be
damaged.
Connect the positive ( ) battery cable to the battery positive ( )
terminal.
Connect the other end of the positive (
) battery cable to the
generator positive ( ) terminal.
Connect the negative ( ) battery cable to the battery negative ( )
terminal.
Connect the other end of the negative (
) battery cable to the
generator negative ( ) terminal.
Before connecting the battery charging cables to a battery that is
installed in a vehicle, disconnect the vehicle ground battery cable
from the battery negative (
) terminal.
Battery posts, terminals, and related accessories contain
lead and lead components.
