My image is
too dark.
There was not
enough light.
Wait for natural lighting
conditions to improve, add
indirect lighting, or adjust the
Exposure Compensation
(see
page 38).
The flash was
on, but the
subject was too
far away.
Make sure your subject is within
the flash working distance (see
page 105) or try turning flash off
(will require a longer exposure).
A light shone
behind the
subject.
Use the
Flash On
setting (see
page 30) to brighten the subject.
Or adjust the
Exposure
Compensation
(see page 38).
Your finger
blocked the
flash.
Be sure to move your fingers
away from the flash when you
take a picture.
The scene had
many light-
colored objects,
such as a white
dog in snow.
Increase the
Exposure
Compensation
(see page 38)
so
the light-colored objects in the
scene will not look “muddy.”
