Note: The fan will not turn on until the appliance has
reached its proper operating temperature. This is
determined by a thermal disc in the fan assembly. Also,
the fan will continue to run until the appliance has cooled
sufficiently after shutdown.
WARNING!
Keep the area near the appliance clear and free from
combustible materials, gasoline and other flam-
mable vapors and liquids.
Note: The ON/OFF switch now becomes inoperable.
b. Optional Wall Thermostat
The use of a millivolt thermostat is allowed. It
must be located within 20 feet of the appliance.
Figure 25 shows how to connect the thermostat.
Remove ON/OFF switch wires from valve. Place
thermostat wires to the posts marked TH and
TH/TP.
5. PRE-USE CHECKLIST
Use the following checklist as a guide to be sure your
installation is correct and complete
•
Operating instructions have been read and
understood.
•
All safety warnings have been read and followed.
•
Flex liners and termination cap are properly
installed
•
Logs and rock wool have been placed correctly.
•
All fittings are tight and there are no gas leaks.
•
Glass is in proper position and sealed.
•
Prints and smudges are wiped from brass trim.
•
Check air shutter adjustment.
