(a) The intention of this section is to provide general information about storing various types of media on hard drives. This information was derived from a variety of sources. These capacities are approximate and will vary depending on system configuration. There are many factors that will alter these
capacities, such as the amount of hard drive space taken by operating systems, applications and other files.
(b) MP3 calculation based on average size of 3.5 minutes, which is approximately 3MB.
(c) Pre-formatted for NTFS for WinXP. Would need to be reformatted for other O.S. by the end user.
(d) Other operating systems are NOT specifically supported (such as MAC, Win2000. This product is intended as a consumer product for the Windows PC space and no specific qualification tested is planned to validate on other OS’es. However, since HP Personal Media Drive functions as a normal
USB HDD, as long as drivers are available there is no known reason why it will not function in those other environments.
