QUESTION: Do all the germs and bacteria get trapped in
the Water Tank?
No. The water in the tank is heated in excess of 212°F, killing
any bacteria or germs in the water as it transforms into
steam during use.

QUESTION: Does the Duo

work on pet stains?

Yes, the Duo

is able to spot clean fresh stains by loosening

and lifting the stain. (See details for this on pgs 13-14.)

QUESTION: How do I use the Pad Tray?
The Pad Tray is to be used with the Ultra-Microfiber Pad for
sanitizing hard floor surfaces and can be attached directly to
the bottom of the unit. (See directions for attaching it and
using it on pgs 8-9.)

QUESTION: Do I have to use distilled water in my Duo

Steam Sweeper and Floor Sanitizer?
We recommend distilled water but you may use tap water,
unless you have hard water in your area. Using hard water
will shorten the life of your appliance. (See pg 17 for more
details.)

QUESTION: How can I prolong the life of my HAAN

®

Duo

?

To optimize and extend the life of your Steam Sweeper and
Floor Sanitizer, especially if your area has hard water, we
recommend using the HAAN

®

Fresh Rinse™ Lime and Scale

Remover (available on our Website) every 2-3 months. See
pg 17 for more details.

QUESTION: Where does the dirt go?

The HAAN

®

Duo™ is NOT a vacuum, so it does not have

any suction power to pick up dirt. The Power-Lift

Brush

rotates at an optimal speed for easy pick-up of dirt and small
particles. The specially-designed brush is powerful enough
to sweep up nearly any mess from debris like pet food and
cereal, to finer matter like crumbs and dirt. (Be sure to pick
up any large pieces like marbles, dog biscuits, crayons, etc
before using your Duo

.) What is picked up is swept up

into the Sweeper Collection Bin, which can then be emptied
in to a waste container.
