Manually Adjusting Image Contrast

The EPSON Perfection 600

AutoExposure feature

automatically adjusts the contrast of the selected
image. However, if you are not satisfied with the result,
you can manually adjust the image’s contrast.

To manually adjust contrast:

1. Click the Contrast button

. The mouse pointer

displays as a white triangle in the preview area.

2. Click in the lightest area of the image. The EPSON

Perfection 600 software will adjust the image
highlights by making your selection white and
correcting darker tones accordingly.

3. Click the Contrast button

again, then while

holding down the Alt key (on a PC) or the Option
key (on a Macintosh), click the darkest area of the
image.

Note:
You can compare the
original contrast values
with the new values you
set at any time by viewing
the densitometer
