Chapter 1
Introduction
PLANET USB ADSL modem ADU-2110A is powered by Conexant chipset. It is
featuring “always-on” function and enables high-speed broadband connection from
Internet to end-users. This ADSL USB Modem ensures not only maximum per-
formance, but also significantly simpler handling process.
This ADSL USB Modem is fully compliant with ANSI T1.413 Issue 2, ITU-T G.dmt,
ITU-T G.lite standards. Using existing twisted-pair telephone lines, ADSL technol-
ogy provides data rate more than 100 times faster than a traditional analog modem
without interruption of telephone service.

Data Requirement
You must get the following data information from your ISP or phone company to set
up ADU-2110A.
ADSL LAN mode user
VPI/VCI value
Encapsulation mode(example: RFC 1483, 1577...etc.)
IP Address, Subnet Mask
Gateway, DNS related information
ADSL WAN (PPPoE/PPPoA) mode user
VPI/VCI value
Encapsulation mode (example: RFC 2364, 2516...etc.)
Username and password for authentication
