Drawer Magnets with Self-Aligning Drawer Quick Clean (DMA-QC Series)
Application:
MPI's drawer magnets are designed to remove fine and medium sized ferrous tramp metal contaminant from dry, granular free-flowing product streams, in gravity-fed
vertical chutes. The DMA-200 Series Drawer Magnet is ideal for protecting processing equipment such as milling, extruding and mixing machinery from ferrous
contaminant, while at the same time improving and maintaining product quality standards.
Operation:
Product flows through two rows of 1" diameter magnetic tubes, designed to create an extremely effective magnetic circuit. The rows of magnetic tubes are staggered to
maximize magnetic filtration as product flows through the housing. Tramp metal contaminant move to the underside of the magnetic tubes, eliminating tramp metal
“wash-off." After terminating the product flow, the magnetic tubes are mechanically pulled through the non-metallic stripper assemblies, cleaning the magnetic tubes
and depositing the metal contaminant outside the product stream into a collection tray.
Standard Features:
• Drawer tracking system reduces force required to move magnets through the strippers and eliminates jamming caused by misalignment
• Larger stripper surface "land" at point of contact on magnet tube, combined with larger stripper inside diameters, provide longer stripper life
• Mechanical latch system ensures magnet's stripper plate is sealed during product flow
• Easy to upgrade to self-cleaning model
• Powerful Rare Earth Neodymium-Iron-Boron permanent magnet material
• Operating temperatures up to 250º F
• 100% stainless steel housing
• Two rows of 1" dia. magnetic tubes on 2" centers
