Application:
MPI's Continuous Flow Self-clean Drawer Magnet and Housing Separators (CF-DMU-400-SC Series) utilize type "A" magnetic circuits to remove small-to-medium
sized ferrous contaminant from dry powder or granular free-flowing product streams in gravity-fed vertical chutes. These drawer magnets utilize four tiers of magnets in
two doors, allowing independent cleaning of each drawer without interrupting product flow. CF-DMU-SC protects milling, extruding and mixing equipment 24/7, while
ensuring high product quality standards.
Operation:
Product flows through a series of magnetic tubes designed to create an extremely effective magnetic circuit. Each row of magnetic tubes are staggered to prevent
product bridging or choking and maximize magnetic filtration. As tramp metal contaminant attaches to the magnetic tubes the pneumatically controlled cylinders
operate one double bank drawer of magnetic tubes at a time to safely remove the tramp metal from the product stream. As one drawer is the cleaning position the other
is filtering the product stream thus allowing for the continuous flow of the product stream.
Standard Features:
• 100% Stainless steel construction
• Rare Earth Neodymium-Iron-Boron magnet material
• UHMW stripper seals for increased magnetic strength
Optional Features:
• Non-standard alloy stainless steel construction
• Tramp metal collection trays
• Operating temperatures up 650º F
• Non-standard electrical interface
• Non-standard inlet/outlet flange sizing
• Mechanical valve switch to eliminate electrical requirements
• Abrasive resistant and low friction material for magnetic tubes
• Non-standard material stripper seals for applications not suitable for UHMW
• Variable rows of magnetic tubes
• Inlet and Outlet transition adapters sized to customer specifications
