Replacing the cover/horn is a re-

verse process of the above, but care

should be taken to ensure that the

seal is securely located in its groove

during re-assembly.

1.2 Cable Termination
Cable termination should be in ac-

cordance with specifications apply-

ing to the application. MEDC rec-

ommend that all cables and cores

should be fully identified.
Ensure that only the correct glands

are used and that the assembly is

shrouded.
2.0 OPERATION
The product must be protected from

excessive dust.
During the operation of the

Sounder, ensure it is checked at

regular intervals to ensure that no

debris has collected in the cover

apertures or that the Sounder has

not been damaged.
The product must not be subjected

to mechanical and thermal stresses

in excess of those permitted in the

certification documentation and

this manual.
There are no exposed parts of the

apparatus which produce excessive

surface temperature, infrared, elec-

tromagnetic, ionising radiation or

non electrical dangers.
Information regarding tone selec-

tion and installation is contained

within each unit supplied.
The product has been designed

such that the protection afforded

will not be reduced due to the

corrosion of materials, electrical

conductivity, impact strength, age-

ing resistance and the effects of

temperature variation.

3.0 MAINTENANCE
During the working life of the

Sounder, it should require little or

no maintenance. However, if ab-

normal or unusual environmental

1.1 Abbau/ Wiederanbringung

Entfernen Sie Deckel/Horn des

Schallgebers, indem Sie die 3 Befes-

tigungsschrauben lösen (3mm In-

busschlüssel) und Deckel/Horn vor-

sichtig vom Unterteil wegziehen.
Das Wiederanbringen des Deckels/

Horns erfolgt in umgekehrter Reihen-

folge, wobei darauf zu achten ist,

dass die Dichtung beim Zusam-

mensetzen fest in ihrer Nut sitzt.
1.2 Kabelendverschluss

Der Kabelendverschluss ist in Über-

einstimmung mit den für die An-

wendung geltenden Spezifikationen

durchzuführen. MEDC empfiehlt,

alle Kabel und Adern vollständig zu

kennzeichnen.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass nur An-

schlussstutzen mit der richtigen

Zertifizierung benutzt werden.
2.0 BETRIEB
Das Produkt muss vor übermäßigen

Staubmengen geschützt werden.
Beim Betrieb des Schallgebers

ist sicherzustellen, dass er in

regelmäßigen Abständen daraufhin

überprüft wird, dass sich kein

Schmutz in den Deckelöffnungen

angesammelt hat und der Schallgeber

nicht beschädigt wurde.
Das Produkt darf keinen mechan-

ischen und thermischen Belastungen

ausgesetzt werden, die über das in

den Zertifikatsdokumenten und in

diesem Handbuch festgelegte Maß

hinausgehen.
Das Gerät verfügt über keine

ungeschützten Teile, die über-

mäßige Oberflächentemperaturen,

Infrarot-, elektromagnetische oder

ionisierende Strahlung oder nicht-

elektrische Gefahren erzeugen.
Informationen über die Tonwahl und

Installation liegen jedem gelieferten

Gerät bei.
Das Produkt wurde so konstruiert,

dass der gebotene Schutz nicht

aufgrund der Korrosion von Werk-

stoffen, elektrischer Leitfähigkeit,

Schlagfestigkeit, Alterungsbeständig-

keit oder aufgrund der Auswirkun-

gen von Temperaturschwankungen

verringert wird.

1.1 Dépose du couvercle/pavillon
Déposer le couvercle en dévissant

les trois vis de fixation (clé Allen

3 mm) puis en tirant doucement

dessus.
Pour remettre le couvercle en place,

suivre la procédure inverse. Vérifier

que le joint est parfaitement posi-

tionné dans son logement.

1.2 Eléments de connexion des

câbles

La connexion des câbles doit se

faire conformément aux spécifica-

tions pertinentes. MEDC recom-

mande d’identifier clairement tous

les câbles et fils.
Vérifier que les presse-étoupe du

type correct sont utilisés et que

l’ensemble est protégé.
2.0 FONCTIONNEMENT
L’équipement doit être protégé

contre l’exposition à une poussière

excessive.
Pendant le fonctionnement, vérifier

régulièrement que l’équipement n’a

subi aucun dommage et qu’aucune

matière étrangère ne s’accumule

dans les ouvertures.
L’équipement ne doit être soumis à

aucune contrainte mécanique ou

thermique dépassant les valeurs

autorisées dans la documenta-

tion de certification et dans cette

notice.
L’équipement ne comporte aucune

pièce exposée dégageant une

chaleur excessive, un rayonne-

ment infrarouge, électromagnétique

ou ionisant et ne présente aucun

risque électrique.
Les informations concernant

les réglages et l’installation de

l’équipement sont indiquées à

l’intérieur de chaque unité.

Cet équipement a été conçu de

façon que la protection assurée

ne puisse être réduite du fait de la

corrosion des matériaux, de la con-

ductivité électrique, de la résistance

aux chocs et au vieillissement et de

la variation de la température.
