Table 6 - Mobile Network connection details
Text/symbol Description
The mobile network (UMTS or GSM) signal quality
available at the Ericsson W21 location. This signal
quality affects the performance of the unit. If two or
more bars are green, the connection is usually
acceptable.
The Internet access status, either Link Status Up or Down.
If the link is up, connection is established.
The protocol used for the Internet data traffic: Mode
PPP (Point-to-Point Protocol).
The radio access technique currently used to enable
Internet access. It can be Connection
HSDPA , UMTS, EDGE, or
GPRS .
The name of, or other reference to, the mobile
network operator. Service provider
The current mobile network registration status, which
can be one of the following: Network
registration
- Not registered, not searching
- Registered, home network
- Searching
- Registration denied
- Unknown
- Roaming
- Limited Service
The IP address automatically assigned to the
Ericsson W21 by the mobile network. IP Address
The IP address to the primary DNS server. DNS 1
The IP address to the secondary DNS server. DNS 2
