and cut the ingredients too early, as the

goal is to keep them fresh.

• Chopped ingredients should be cut to

the same size, so that they cook in the

same time.

• Use ingredients with short cooking times,

where possible.

• Vegetables can also be pre-cooked, e.g.

on the stone grill plate 1.

• Do not lay the ingredients too thickly

onto the grill, as it gives off a lot of heat,

and the vegetables should remain fresh.

• When grilling sausages, prick them

beforehand so they do not burst and

squirt fat.

• When grilling meat on the stone grill

plate 1 a sprinkling of salt on the stone

before cooking prevents the meat from

sticking. This does not replace seasoning

the meat.

• Vegetables, if cut thinly, will cook very

successfully on the stone grill plate 1.

• The grill plate 2 is very well suited to

cooking and pre-cooking vegetables.

This leaves the stone grill plate 1 free for

meat or fish.

6. Cleaning

Warning!

To avoid the danger of

an electric shock or damage:
–Remove the plug from the mains

socket before starting to clean

the appliance.

–Never immerse the appliance in

water, and protect it from

splashes and water droplets.

–Before cleaning, allow the

appliance to cool down to avoid

the risk of burns. This may take

up to 30 minutes in the case of

the stone grill plate 1.

Caution!

Never use abrasive, corrosive or

caustic cleaning materials. This may damage

the appliance and the coated surface of the

grill plate 2 and raclette pans 7.
Note:

Don’t wait too long to wash after

cooling so that the food remains don’t dry

on and become difficult to remove.

6.1 Cleaning the base section

1. Clean the base section 6 with a damp

cloth. A little washing-up liquid may also

be used.

2. Wipe off with fresh water.
3. Do not use the machine again until it is

fully dry.

6.2 Cleaning the stone grill plate, grill

plate and accessories

Warning!

The stone grill plate 1

retains heat for a long time. Take

care not to burn yourself on the

grill plate.

Caution!

Don’t put the hot stone grill plate 1

in washing up water. The temperature shock

could make the stone grill plate crack.
1. Clean the stone grill plate 1, grill plate 2,

raclette pans 7 and wooden spatula 8 in

warm water by hand.

2. If heavily soiled, leave parts to soak in

warm water for about 20 – 30 minutes.

You could add a few drops of mild

washing-up liquid.

3. Carefully dry all parts after cleaning.
Notes:

• A soft, non-scratch sponge may also be

used to clean the stone grill plate 1.
