4.1. ASSEMbLY. Minimal assembly is required for the heater, simply screw the swivel mount to the rear of the heater using the spring
washers and the PZ.2 screws, ensure the screws are tight as they will support the weight of the unit.
4.2.
WALL MOUNTING (IMPORTANT! The following points should be noted): The heater should always have a minimum clearance of 450mm
from a ceiling. The heater should be at least 30-40° away from a vertical position, whether it is mounted on a wall or ceiling. Ensure that
mounting surface is capable of supporting the weight of the heater.
4.2.1. Fix the metal bracket to a wall or ceiling by means of appropriate fixing materials (not supplied).
4.2.2. Connect heater body to metal bracket using the screws supplied.
4.2.3. Adjust angle of heater to direct heat beam where required.
4.2.4. Tighten nuts to secure postion.
Note: The IR lamp is fragile and therefore it is important that the unit is not subjected to any unnecessary shocks or vibration and is not
moved when the lamp(s) are on.
WARNING! Ensure you have read, understood and applied the safety instructions in Section 1 before using the heater.
5.1.
Position the heater at least 1m from any object.
Note: There is no power switch present on the lamp itself, it is turned on and off at the socket / power supply. Therefore, ensure
setup is complete and that the heater is suitably positioned bEFORE plugging in.
5.2.
Plug in the heater.
5.3.
When the heater is no longer required, switch off supply.
5.4.
Allow heater to cool after use before attempting any maintenance or relocation.
WARNING! DO NOT touch the heater when in use as it becomes extremely hot.
Note: The IR element is fragile and therefore it is important that the unit is not subjected to any unnecessary shocks or vibration.
WARNING! Ensure you have read, understood and applied the safety instructions in Section 1 before replacing elements.
6.1.
FITTING A NEW ELEMENT (ALL MODELS)
Note: When changing elements use a soft cloth to avoid touching the glass with bare hands. Do not use excessive force when pulling elements
free from their clips as this may cause the element to fracture.
6.2.
Remove the end plates from the heater by undoing the retaining screws. The grille is held in place by the end plates and should come
free when the end plates are removed.
6.3.
Note that elements on all models have a wire attached at either end which must be disconnected from an adjacent terminal block before
the element can be released from its clips.
6.4.
Where more than one element has failed it is recommended that the elements are replaced one at a time to avoid confusion over which
terminals should be used.
6.5.
To renew a failed element trace the wires at either end back to the adjacent terminal block. Loosen the relevant screw and pull out the
forked connector at the end of each wire making a note of which terminal is in use. Pull the old element upwards out of its clips.
6.6.
Immediately install the new element into the clips with the attached wires facing downwards. Insert the forked connector at the end of
each wire into the correct terminal and tighten the screw. Arrange excess wire loops neatly within the casing.
6.7.
Place one end plate into position on one side of the heater. Lay the grille onto the face of the heater and slide it into the holes in the end
plate. Place the other end plate onto the other side of the heater and lift the grille slightly to allow it to slide into the end plate. Replace the
fixing screws into each end plate. (NOTE: For the IWMH1500 slide the grille into place first so that it is retained under the top and bottom
edges of the main body and the top edges of the reflector.)
