When using an external heatsink, UL compliance requires covering exposed capacitors in the main circuit to prevent injury
to surrounding personnel.
The portion of the external heatsink that projects out can be protected with the enclosure or with the appropriate capacitor
cover after completing drive installation. Use capacitor covers specified in the Standards Compliance section of the Z1000
User Manual. Order capacitor covers from a Yaskawa representative or directly from the Yaskawa sales department.
