5.6 Connecting the Cables to the 485 Data Module

Connect each cable to the 485 data module according to the following procedure.
1. Plug one spring-cage connector into each of the
sockets on the 485 data module.
2. If one cable is to be connected, attach the terminator:
• Push the levers of the terminals 2 and 7 of one spring-cage connector upwards.
• Bend the ends of the terminator downwards
and plug the terminator into the open terminals.
• Push the levers back down.
3. Push the levers of the terminals 2, 5 and 7 of one
spring-cage connector upwards.
