ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:

SAFETY CHAIN

Refer to Diagram A on page 2 for placement.

Insert a 3/8” X 1-1/4” hex bolt with 3/8” flat washer through the

safety chain and place another 3/8” flat washer onto the 3/8” X

1-1/4” hex bolt. Insert this assembly through the lower hole on the

front of the tongue. Secure with a 3/8” flange lock nut on the inside

of the tongue tube. Repeat this procedure on the other side of the

tongue tube.

TONGUE

Refer to parts drawing on page 2 for placement.

Slide the tongue into the tongue channel on the frame assembly

and secure with two 1/2” X 4” hex bolts and 1/2” flange lock nuts.

FRONT STOP

Refer to Diagram B on page 2 for placement.

Place a 3/8” X 3 7/16 X 3 square u-bolt over the frame and thru the

holes in the front stop mounting bracket and apply 3/8” flat wash-

ers, 3/8” lock washers, and 3/8” hex nuts. Repeat this procedure

on the other side of the front stop.Center on the front of trailer and

tighten all nuts securely.

SPRINGS

Refer to Diagram C on page 2 for placement.

Mount the spring to the axle assembly using two 1/2” X 2-5/16”

X 5-3/4” square u-bolts over the spring clamp and spring. Secure

the spring to the axle assembly using a spring plate and four 1/2”

flange lock nuts. Repeat on opposite side of the axle assembly.

Install the spring bracket bushings and the 9/16” X 3-1/4” hex bolts

into the rear frame spring shackle. Secure with 9/16” hex nuts.

Hook the leaf spring on the axle assembly over the bushing just

installed. Repeat this step on the opposite side of the axle assem-

bly.

Insert a 9/16” x 3/14” hex bolt in the eye of the leaf spring and se-

cure into the front frame spring shackle. Repeat on opposite side

of the axle assembly.

Tighten all four bolts to secure the under carriage to the trailer.

TIRES

Remove the stud thread protectors. Mount the tires to the hubs

using 1/2” hex lug nuts. Tighten to 85-95 ft./lb. of torque using the

rotation pattern as shown in the ShoreLand’r Owner’s Guide.

Re torque the lug nuts after 50 miles of driving and then periodically

thereafter.

RAMP

Refer to Diagram D on page 2 for placement.

Secure the ramp to the rear of the frame weldment using a 9/16”

X 3-1/4” hex bolt and 9/16” hex lock nut. Repeat on opposite side

of the ramp.

Attach the strap to the welded latch pin on the ramp using a 3/16” X

1-1/4” lynch pin. Repeat on opposite side of the ramp.

Travel Position: Push ramp up and attach the other end of

the strap to the welded latch pin on the side frame using a

3/16” X 1-1/4” lynch pin. Repeat on the opposite side of the

ramp.

Loading Position: Release 3/16” X 1-1/4” lynch pins from

both sides of the trailer and lay ramp down on a hard surface.

Replace lynch pin back into welded latch pin on the frame so

that it is not misplaced.

CAUTION: Beware of pinch point areas when handling the

ramp!
