TA1118 Pontoon Riser Kit for Tandem Axles with 13”
Tires
Loosen and remove the U-bolts that attach the spring brack-
ets to the side frame. Discard the U-bolts because they are
not long enough when installing the riser kit.
Raise the frame of the trailer enough so that the spacer tube
can be placed between the bottom side of the frame and the
spring bracket. Position the spacer tube weldment so that
the two stop pins welded to the side of the tube are to the
inside of the frame as shown. Move the spacer tube forward
or backward until the pins are to the inside of the U-bolts as
shown in the diagram.
NOTE: The pins must be located just
to the inside of the U-bolts to keep the spacer from sliding
out of position in the event the U-bolts come loose while us-
ing the trailer.
Drop the U-bolts into position around the frame and spacer
tube, then down through the holes in the spring bracket. Se-
cure with ½” flange lock nuts.
Repeat the above process on the other riser tube on the
other side of the frame.
Once both risers are installed and the axle is positioned in its
desired position for proper tongue weight, tighten all nuts left
lose during the installation and adjustment process.
Assembly is complete.
