If you are having problems with the MP3 player, sometimes upgrading the firmware will
resolve it. It is highly suggested not to upgrade unless you are having problems.
1. Connect the computer to your player using the supplied USB cable; the READY screen
will appear.
2. Press the Menu button and a Removable disk will appear on the computer’s screen.
3. Select START - PROGRAMS - SIGMATEL MSCNMCC AUDIO PLAYER - SIGMATEL
MSCN FIRMWARE DOWNLOAD.
4. After a short time, the Firmware Update window will appear.
NOTE: If you want to format the unit (all files will be erased), then choose FORMAT DATA
AREA at the firmware Download application screen.
5. Click Start to begin upgrading the firmware. After upgrading, click Close.

To reset the unit due to erratic operation, insert a pin or similar item into the recessed
reset button on the bottom of the unit.
