MAINTENANCE
Rear Gearcase Oil
Always check and change the rear gearcase oil at the intervals outlined
in the Periodic Maintenance Chart beginning on page 91. See the table
on page 95 for fluid recommendations, capacities and plug torques. See
page 147 for the part numbers of POLARIS products.
The fill plug is located on the
rear of the gearcase. The drain
plug is located on the bottom
of the gearcase.
Maintain the fluid level at the
bottom of the fill hole threads.
Do not overfill.
Oil Check
1. Position the vehicle on a
level surface.
2. Remove the fill plug.
Check the oil level.
3. Add the recommended oil
as needed to bring the
level to the bottom of the
fill hole threads. Do not overfill.
4. Reinstall the fill plug. Torque to specification.
