LED Color

Description

Off

No power supplied to charger.

Green

If no battery is present in the charger, green indicates that

there is power available. If a battery is present in the charging,

position, green indicates that the battery is fully charged.

Red

Battery is present in the charger and the battery is

being charged.

Symptom

LED does not light when

the terminal charger is

powered on.

LED stays green when

the battery is inserted.

LED stays red for more

than 4 hours.

Cause

Charger is not receiving

power.

Battery is not seated

firmly in the battery

charger, or the battery is

not properly installed in

the charger.
Battery is charged.
Battery faulty and can

not be charged.

Suggested Action

Make sure the power

supply is securely

connected and receiving

power.

Make sure the battery is

properly seated. Second,

test battery in an approved

AML terminal/handheld.

Battery may be defective.
Normal status.

Replace battery with an

AML approved battery.

Introduction

The ACC-7037 4-Position Battery Charger charges up to four Li-Ion

batteries. This allows batteries to be quickly changed at the end or

beginning of work-shifts, assuring the user a freshly charged battery.

The charging time for a fully depleted battery pack is approximately

2 hours.

About This Guide

This guide provides instruction on setting up and using the ACC-7037

4-Position Battery Charger.

Set Up

Setting up the charger includes unpacking, connecting the power

cable, and placing the charger on a tabletop.

Unpacking the Charger

The shipping box includes the following:
·

One ACC-7037 4-Position Battery Charger

·

One PWR-7160 Power Supply

·

One 120 VAC Power Cable (or country specific)

·

This User’s Guide.

If any parts are missing or damaged, contact your authorized

Customer Support Representative immediately. Save the shipping

box for storing or shipping.

Connecting the Power

The PWR-7160 power supply is included with the ACC-7037 4-Position

Battery Charger. If a country-specific AC power supply is required,

please contact your authorized Customer Support Representative.
Use only an American Microsystems, Ltd. approved power supply;

output rated 12 VDC and a minimum of 5 Amps. The power supply

connects to the ACC-7037 by a 2.1mm x 5.5mm barrel connector,

center positive.

To connect power to the charger:

1. Connect one end of the Power Supply Cable to the Power

Connector on the side of the charger.

2. Connect the other end of the Power Supply AC to a

standard electrical outlet.

3. The indicator LEDs should turn GREEN to indicate that

power is available.

Charging

Turn OFF the terminal or handheld computer when removing

the battery. Place the battery with metal contacts facing

downward into an open charging position. The battery

begins to charge as soon as it is inserted.
