4.2.10 Ethernet
A Marvell 88E1116 PHY is connected to a 1.8V I/O bank of the FPGA. Each of the DSP
Ethernet PHY interfaces are also connected to the FPGA. This connectivity should allow
routing of data from either DSP to the RJ45 connector (optional).
On the SMT362 PCB, pin headers are provided to connect into the Ethernet system. We
recommend the use of the Halo HFJ11-1G01E ‘Fastjack’ connector.
Sundance can supply the SMT562E PC rear panel which includes the RJ45 connector and a
connecting cable (see picture on following page).
For non-gigabit applications, a twisted pair wired connection can be made from the RJ1
connector pins to a suitable panel mount socket.
