Note: Not all image editing programs open the Scan Using SMX-150 USB2.0 Camera WIA window ( see Figure 7-11
Scan using SMX-150 USB2.0 Camera WIA window ) automatically - some of them just open the program's main
window. It depends on the image editing program configuration. For more information, see Help Topic of the
program.
5 Choose Grayscale, then the Adjust the quality of the scanned picture link to
change the image settings. Click the Preview button to preview the image to be
scanned
6 When ready, click the Scan button. Your image editor will start scanning and will
show the scanned image in the current program's windows
Getting Image from Camera with Microsoft Paint
To get an image from the camera using Microsoft Paint:
1 Open Microsoft Paint (in All Programs, from the Accessories program group select
Paint).
2 Connect the SMX-150M camera to your computer.
3 In Microsoft Paint, open the File menu and select From Scanner or Camera. The
Scan Using SMX-150 USB2.0 Camera WIA dialog box will appear.

4 Adjust image settings (see “How It Works” on page 69 ), click Preview to view the image
that will be scanned.
5 When ready, click the Scan button.
