INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. To mount Spiker onto the Super Star you must remove the rake lift.
2. You have to unhook the speed boss before removing the rake lift. The speed boss does not need to
function when using the Spiker.
3. If your machine has a parking brake, remove the two bolts from the park brake bracket where it mounts
to the side of the rake lift.
4. Now you may remove the rake lift from the machine.
5. If your machine has a parking brake, install the park brake adapter bracket (Ref 7). It bolts to the outside
of the right pivot bracket (Ref 4).
6. Using the 1/2 - 13 x 11/2 bolts, washer, lockwashers and nuts bolt the Spiker and the park brake adapter
bracket to the main frame. Do not tighten the bolts at this time.
7. Remove the cylinder extension from the cylinder and replace with the new shorter lift yoke (Ref 8).
Thread lift yoke all the way on. Tighten down with jam nut.
8. Hook the lift yoke (Ref 8) to the top hole on the cylinder tab on the cylinder lift frame (Ref 3). You may
have to slide the spiker to the left or right slightly to line up cylinder.
9. Tighten all four mounting bolts at this time.
10. Bolt the park brake handle assembly to the park brake adapter bracket.
11. Compression springs should be tightened to 6" for best result.
12. Test spiker for ground penetration. If there is too much ground penetration loosen the springs. If you
need more ground penetration, tighten springs.
13. Test Super Stars park brake to make sure nothing came unhooked while moving.
The speed boss is not used with spiker. Leave unhooked.
