Thank you for choosing a Silva Otus ll headlamp. This extra durable
and water proof headlamp is designed for use in rough environme-
nts.
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The Otus ll headlamp consists of the following parts:
• Headlamp
• Headband with integrated “Cocoon storage ® ”
• 3 x AAA batteries
• Quick guide
BEFORE USE
ADJUST THE HEADBAND
The elastic headband with anti-slip rubber on the inside is designed
to give a comfortable fit at all times. Adjust the headband by moving
the sliding buckle to fit it onto your head.
INSERT THE BATTERIES
Open the battery lid on the right hand side of the lamp body. Insert
three AAA batteries. Either Alkaline (included), NiMH or Lithium
batteries can be used. For operation in temperatures below -10ºC,
Lithium batteries will give significantly longer burn time. Please
note the battery polarity. Do not mix different brands of batteries. Do
not mix batteries with different levels of discharge.
If you don’t intend to use the headlamp for several months, make
sure you remove the batteries from the lamp.
DURING USE
SWITCH ON YOUR HEADLAMP
On the side of the headlamp there is a push button that controls the
different light modes.
Available light modes: Max, Min, Blink.
When the headlamp is OFF:
Short press (<1s.) – starts the headlamp in Max mode
Next short press – Min mode
Next short press – Blink mode
Next short press – back to Max mode
Long press (>1s.) – turns the headlamp off
From each light mode you can turn the headlamp off with a long
press (more than one second).
COCOON STORAGE ®
The Otus II headlamp is equipped with a unique storage solution
integrated in the headband. Store the headlamp and headband in the
pouch by turning it inside out. A convenient hanger lets you attach it
to your backpack, harness, jacket or belt.
AFTER USE
MAINTENANCE
To make sure you get maximum performance from your Otus II
headlamp, clean it regularly with a damp cloth to ensure that the
product is free from dirt.
To wash the headband – rinse in warm water.
PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT
Headlamp, batteries and packaging are recyclable. Please dispose
of these items in accordance with applicable local regulations.

WARRANTY
Silva warrants that, for a period of two (2) years, your Silva product
will be substantially free of defects in materials and workmanship
under normal use. Silva’s liability under this warranty is limited to
repairing or replacing the product. This limited warranty extends
only to the original purchaser.
If the product proves defective during the warranty period please
contact the original place of purchase. Make sure to have your proof
of purchase on hand when returning the product. Returns cannot
be processed without the original proof of purchase. This warranty
does not apply if the product has been altered, not been installed,
operated, repaired, or maintained in accordance with instructions
supplied by Silva, or has been subjected to abnormal physical or
electrical stress, misuse, negligence or accident. Neither does the
warranty cover normal wear and tear. Silva is not responsible for any
consequences, direct or indirect, or damage resultant from use of
this product. In no event will Silva’s liability exceed the amount paid
by you for the product. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion
or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above
limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty is valid
and may be processed only in the country of purchase.
