SURGe PROTeCTIOn
T2 is microprocessor-controlled circuit that works together with the PowerCenter’s surge-absorbing MOVs (Metal Oxide
Varistors) and thermal fuses . T2 actively monitors the line, neutral, and ground power lines for electrical surges, dips, and
spikes and automatically disconnects the PowerCenter and your AV equipment from AC power when it detects a dangerous
sustained power dip or surge (continuous voltage below 80Vrms or above 135Vrms) .
T2 keeps the PowerCenter shut down for 15 seconds and continues to monitor power conditions . If power conditions
remain potentially damaging, T2 keeps the PowerCenter shut down, keeping your AV equipment and the PowerCenter itself
protected . When power conditions return to safe, normal levels, T2 reconnects the PowerCenter and your AV components
to the electricity . This extends the PowerCenter’s life, while providing advanced the surge protection your home theater
system needs .
