The finish on this shelf is a tough and
durable finish. However, to protect
the shelf during assembly the
following instructions and method are
to be used.
Never strike the shelf directly with a
metal hammer or other hard object in
order to seat the shelf. Instead place
a flat piece of wood across the
corner before striking to protect the
finish.

INSTRUCTIONS
The seating of the shelf in its final
position with a hammer and a block
of wood can best be accomplished
by seating each corner gradually and
concentrating the hits on the corner
that is sitting highest on the split
sleeves until all four corners are
completely seated on the split
sleeves. The hits should be on each
side of the corner and as close to the
corner as possible.
