CONNECTING THE AM/FM ANTENNAS

CONNECTING THE SUPPLIED FM ANTENNA
Be sure to use the supplied FM antenna indoors.
To use, extend and adjust the antenna’s positioning
until clear reception is achieved.
Use push pins or other such implement to secure
the antenna in the location with the least noise.
Poor reception may sometimes be improved by
installing an outdoor antenna.
CONNECTING THE SUPPLIED AM ANTENNA
Be sure to use the supplied AM loop antenna
indoors.
Orient the antenna in a position that allows clear
reception.
Place the antenna as far as possible from the unit,
TV, speakers, and electric cords.
Poor reception may sometimes be improved by
installing an outdoor antenna.
1.
Push down the levers on the AM antenna
terminals.
2.
Insert the stripped leads of the antenna
wire into the antenna terminal.
3.
Release the levers.
Note:
Connect the GND wire (black) of the shielded cable
to the GND terminal of the AM antenna.

ANTENNA
Notes:
• Install the antenna away from noise sources (such
as neon signs, roads with heavy traffic, etc.)
• Install the antenna away from power lines,
transformers, and other electric power
equipment.
• Always ground the antenna to prevent damage
from lightning and electric shock.

• Do not disconnect the AM loop antenna.
• Always ground the antenna to prevent damage
from lightning and electric shock.
ASSEMBLING THE AM LOOP ANTENNA
1.
Unwind the antenna wire.
2.
Bend the stand in the opposite direction.
3.
Insert the hook at the bottom of the loop
into the groove in the stand.
4.
Place the antenna on a stable surface.
