Instructions for Use
Description
Email Preparator blue is a gel for enamel etching and
dentin conditioning. It is used in conjunction with sealings
and direct composite restorations, as well as lab-fabricated
all-ceramic or composite restorations placed with the
adhesive technique .
Composition
Email Preparator blue contains phosphoric acid
(37 wt.% in water), polyvinyl alcohol, and pigments.
Indication
Email Preparator blue is used in the enamel etch or total
etch techniques for the following indications:
• Composite restorations
• Adhesive cementation of inlays (composite and
all-ceramic), crowns, veneers, and adhesive bridges
• Splints
• Brackets
• Fissure sealings
Contraindication
If the stipulated working technique cannot be used, the
material should not be applied.
Side effects
None known to date.
Interaction
Glass ionomer-based bases/liners may be dissolved by Email
Preparator blue.
Application procedure
Prior to applying the material, fix the enclosed cannula to
the top of the bottle and bend it according to requirements.
Apply Email Preparator blue on the enamel and then on
dentin and allow a reaction time of 15 seconds. After that,
thoroughly rinse with water spray and dry the tooth
surfaces with oil-free air. Avoid dehydrating the dentin.
The etched enamel surface should have a chalky white
appearance. If this is not the case, repeat etching. Should
