Specify the Motor Valve Console
This unit houses a motorized plasma gas metering valve and a preflow/operate solenoid valve. Preflow
and cutflow gas lines connect the motor valve console to the gas console. A control cable connects the
motor valve console with the power supply. The motor valve console also interfaces with the torch via a
plasma gas hose and a control cable.
Note: The motor valve console must be mounted 10 feet (3 m) from the torch. In most cases, this means
that the console will be mounted to the torch lifter station. Fabrication of mounting brackets may
be necessary.
• Determine where the motor valve console will be mounted in relation to the torch, the gas console, and the
power supply. Order the console.
Specify the Leads Between the Gas Console and the Motor Valve Console
The lead package between the gas console and the motor valve console consists of one plasma preflow
gas hose and one plasma cut flow gas hose.
• Based on the distance (the path the leads will take) between the gas console and the valve console,
specify the appropriate lead package part number.
Specify the Shield Hose Set Between the Gas Console and the Remote High
Frequency Console
• Based on the distance (the path the leads will take) between the gas console and the remote high
frequency console, specify the appropriate part number.
Specify the Cable Between the Gas Console and the Power Supply
• Based on the distance (the path the leads will take) between the gas console and the power supply,
specify the appropriate part number.
