ORDERING PROCEDURE - Optional and Additional Equipment
27
SPECIFY THE HOLD CABLE
If the application will use a two-torch system, a hold cable is required to interface the
power supplies.
•
Determine where to position the additional power supplies, and order the appropriate hold
cable from the parts list on page 1-21.
28
SPECIFY THE INDUCTIVE INITIAL HEIGHT SENSING (IHS) SYSTEM
This unit, consisting of a control box with two inductive probes, is designed to automatically
detect the workpiece surface and index the torch to the pierce position. This system can be
used for underwater, at the water line, or above-water applications. This unit interconnects
with the HT4001 power supply through the IHS lead set and the inductive probes, and
requires an air supply to operate.
The IHS console must be located within 40 feet of the torch. See Specifications in Section 2
for weight and mounting requirements.
Note: The IHS system includes a special torch mounting bracket (#004083). The standard
torch mounting bracket (#020046) is not used when the IHS is used.
•
Order the IHS system number. This number includes the IHS console, torch mounting
bracket, air cylinder and inductive sensor assemblies.
28
A
SPECIFY THE IHS AIR REGULATOR
•
Order the air regulator for the IHS system.
28
B
SPECIFY THE IHS AIR REGULATOR MOUNTING BRACKET
•
Order the air regulator mounting bracket for the IHS system.
29
SPECIFY THE INDUCTIVE IHS LEAD SET
•
Order the IHS lead set. The lead set consists of two 40-foot sensor probe cables, a 50-foot
air cylinder hose, and a control cable that connects to the HT4001 power supply. Based
on the distance between the HT4001 power supply and the IHS console, select the
appropriate number from the parts list on page 1-21.
