The LCD backlighting will turn on when pressed for less
than one second; when held for more than five seconds the
transceiver will enter adjustment mode allowing the setting of
the clock, timer mode, and audible melody selection. For more
information, please refer to the Function Button Configurations
section of this guide.

The numeric display toggles between the time of the day and the
alarm clock when these buttons are pressed simultaneously.
