FREECOM MOBILE DRIVE SECURE
Securing your Freecom Mobile Drive Secure
The left LED should be off when powering the hard drive for the first time.
Move the first keycard over the sensor on the drive, which is located at the front of the
drive, in the middle. When successfully recognized, the LED will start blinking green.
Move the second keycard over the sensor. When successfully recognized, the LED be
constantly green (see page 4 step 6).
Protection with the keycards is now enabled.
Every time you connect your Freecom Mobile Drive Secure to your computer or switch
it on, the left LED will be red indicating the drive is locked and can not be used. In
order to use the drive, you need to identify yourself by holding one of the keycards in
front of the sensor on the drive.

on what to do when one or both keycards are lost, or when you want to remove the
protection feature.
