Description and Connection Instructions for the
ECOFLOOR COMFORT MAT

1) The LDTS heating mat is made up of an ADSV-T two-conductor cable affixed to a base fabric made of

woven fibreglass using adhesive tape. Both of the edge tape-strips are double-sided, ensuring that the mat
will stick well to an existing floor and that installation will be quick and easy. The ADSV-T cable has a
protection screen (protective braiding), providing increased protection when installing the mat in e.g. bath-
rooms or washing-machine rooms. The protection screen satisfies the requirements of IEC 800 for metal
meshes/jackets.

2) Make certain the person installing the mat has the qualifications required by your country's laws.
3) The LDTS heating mat should be connected using the cold connection cable to a 230 V, 50 Hz supply.

The protection screen should be connected to a PE conductor or a protective connection.

4) A layout, i.e. a drawing of the pattern in which the mat was laid, and the resistance values measured for the

heating circuit, must be recorded in the warranty certificate supplied with the kit. Store the certificate in your
archives.

5) The mat must be installed in such a way as to enable twin-pole isolation.

Important

1) The heating cable should be positioned to provide at least 5 cm clearance from walls.
2) The heating mat can be laid out according to drawings 1–3 on page 8. The heating cable must never be

shortened, though you can shorten the cold connection cable as needed. The "connector" — the element
connecting the heating cable with the cold connection cable — may not be attached at a bend.

3) Never install the heating mat under fixtures like baths, showers or toilets, nor under furniture that blocks

airflow.

4) Instructions on using priming, etc. materials should be sought in those materials' instruction sheets.
5) The heating cable should not pass through multiple layers of material that expands and contracts (like wood

does as it absorbs/releases moisture). The cold connection cable must be inside a protection tube (included in
the kit) wherever it passes through such material.

6) Inside the mat you will find a label giving factory-inspection results: the date, inspector's name, and meas-

ured wattage rating (wattage tolerance (W) +5/-10 %, resistance tolerance (Ω) -5/+10 % from the nominal
value).

7) Before and after laying the mat, you need to measure the resistance of the heating circuit. These two values

you measure should match.

8) Measuring of insulation resistance between a heating cable and protective braiding must be carried out be-

fore and after laying of a heating mat. The measured value must not be lower than 0,5 MΩ. The measured
values must be recorded in the Certificate of Warranty.

Warranty

1) The manufacturer offers a

10-years

warranty for the functionality of the ECOFLOOR LDTS heating mat.

It starts on the installation date you record in the warranty certificate (installation must take place within at
most 6 months from the date of sale), provided that:

– you can show your warranty and purchase certificates
– you have properly followed the instructions in this installation guide
– you can provide the measurement results, connection data, and layout mentioned in the previous

sections

– when applying adhesive and primer, you followed their manufacturer's instructions

2) You must send warranty claims in writing, to the company that performed the installation or, where rele-

vant, to the manufacturer.

The claims procedure also is available at the website:
