Turning off the
Device ... But Why
on Earth Would
You want to do
that?
In case you would like to take
a break from TV Guide ®
QuizMaster to carry out other
essential life activities (although
we understand if you don’t),
press and hold the
O N /E NTER for
two seconds and the device will
shut off.
Please keep in mind that if no
buttons are pushed for two
minutes, and because TV Guide
®
Quizmaster is a considerate
handheld device, it will
automatically shut itself off to
save your batteries. When you
are ready to continue, simply
press
O N /E NTER once again and
QuizMaster will miraculously
come back to life right where
you left off your game.
answer a question correctly, you
will receive five points. If you
answer a question incorrectly,
you will receive 0 points.
QuizMaster will display each
player’s score at the end of each
turn, before showing the next
question. You can always access
the score information by pressing
the
S CORE button. You can use
the Up/Down arrows to scroll
through and see the number of
points for each player, as well as
the highest score in the game.
The Player (or team) with the
highest score at the end of the
game is the winner.
The Non-Scoring
Game
The non-scoring game mode
works essentially the same way,
except that it will not prompt you
for the number of players at the
beginning. Instead it will auto-
matically show a question after
you have chosen a category. The
game will prompt you to choose
a category before displaying each
question in this mode. The
non-scoring game is a great way
to pass leisure time on your own,
or amongst friends. It is also a
helpful way to sharpen your triv-
ia skills for the next time you are
ready to challenge QuizMaster or
other players in a competitive
game.
Starting a New
Game!
There are all kinds of game
options that can make each of
your QuizMaster experiences
different from the last. You can
choose various combinations of
categories, keep it restricted to
one, or be bold and adventurous
by selecting them all. Either way,
you will never be bored with
TV Guide
® QuizMaster!
To start a new game, simply
press the N EW G AME button.
The LCD will prompt you to
choose
B ACK (to cancel your
request) or N EW G AME . Use your
D OWN arrow to select N EW
G AME and then if in doubt of
how to proceed, refer to the
beginning of this manual and fol-
low each instructional step.
Otherwise, have a ball!
