NLITE and AHCI Installation Guide
AHCI
The installation steps below will guide you in confi guring your SATA drive to AHCI
mode.
1. Enter the BIOS utility and confi gure the SATA controller to IDE mode.
2. Install Windows XP but do not press F6.
3. Download relevant RAID/AHCI driver fi les supported by the motherboard
chipset from Intel’s website.
Transfer the downloaded
driver fi les to C:\AHCI.
4. Open Device Manager and
right click on one of the
Intel Serial ATA Storage
Controllers, then select
Update Driver.
If the controller you se-
lected did not work, try
selecting another one.
