Install and remove track from front
of machine.
RaIL INSTaLLaTION
Before use, the cross-arm has to be inserted into the machine and the machine installed on the main track.
Declutch the main drive and slide the machine onto the main track in the direction shown. Be careful to align the
wheels with the grooves in the rail. When the rail passes through the second pair of wheels the rack will engage
the X-encoder gear under the machine. Roll the machine into position and push the clutch knob in to engage the
tractor drive (X axis).
Insert the cross arm through the side of the machine in the direction shown. The grooved wheels will guide the
arm until it is stopped by the cross-drive pinion. Push the RESET button, then push the Red Pause button. Set
the speed to a low value, push in the cross-arm, and use the manual joystick to drive it in. As the rail goes through,
see that the rack does not bind on the Y-encoder gear; if it hits a high spot, back off and carefully try again.
Install and remove cross-arm from
this side.
