Configuring A/V and Closed
Captioning
The following describes how to configure the audio (for HDMI connections), SD and HD
video settings, and closed caption settings for the DCX3300.
Before you adjust the output settings:
•
Connect the DCX3300 to the TV and other home entertainment devices
•
Plug the DCX3300 into an AC power outlet
•
Turn the DCX3300 on
•
Turn the TV on
When using an HDMI connection between the DCX3300 and the television, be sure to
have the cable connected and the TV powered on before adjusting the video settings.
To configure the DCX3300 settings on the main User Settings menu screen:
1.
Ensure the DCX3300 is installed properly and turned on
2.
Press POWER to put the set-top in stand-by mode. Within two (2) seconds press the
MENU key on the remote control.

If the TV is on, the on-screen User Settings menu lists the DCX3300 settings that
can be adjusted:
Note: Depending on the Interactive Program Guide installed on the DCX3300 by your
service provider, you may need to press the MENU key twice to access the User
Settings menu.
