Only two different serial port options can be active at a time. The MDS-
GP board provides two ways to set active serial port options
(see Figure 9 ):
•
Jumper select options on J2 (see Table 2 on page 20).
•
Use the I 2 C bus expander U2 to select options through software.
These options allow serial ports to be dynamically changed. You must
remove all J2 jumpers for software
selection to work.
