TIP: To be that the location chosen is acoustically
favourable, set off a test alarm.
A smoke detector should be installed in every
living space and in every basement room in order
to provide an expanded degree of protection.
In the following rooms and mounting locations,
mounting can lead to problems:
Site/Type Reason
Kitchen/Bath Cooking steam and humidity
(humidity of 90%)
Garages Combustion engines
(cars, etc.)
Moisture prone Moist air from dryers, steam,
rooms etc. (humidity 90%)
Dusty rooms The smoke detector’s
measuring sensors can become
fouled very quickly.
Sites with strong Air currents from fans, open
