4.3 Installation and set-up
• Before beginning installation, shut off the
electricity in order to prevent electric shock or
damage to the device.
• After selecting the mounting site, make sure
that there are no electrical lines or pipes in the
mounting area.
• Mount the mounting ring in the right place.
• Drill holes in the marked locations.
• Insert anchor bolts in the drilled holes.
• Screw on the mounting ring. DO NOT OVER-
TIGHTEN THE SCREWS.
• Screw the detector onto the mounting ring,
paying attention to the openings for the adapter
plug.
• Connect the power cord for the12 V DC power
supply/transformer. In the case of direct
connection to a 12 V DC battery, a switch can be
installed between the battery and the device.
• Connect the transformer to a 230 V electrical
outlet. The gas detector will be operationally
ready in 2 minutes. The green light will burn
continuously.
• If you are not sure about the type of gas used,
or if problems occur during the installation of
your gas detector, consult a trained technician.
