4.2 Locations to avoid
• Do not muffle or cover the device. This reduces

the performance of the sensor.

• Make sure that the device does not come into

contact with moisture.

• Protect the device from strong magnetic or

electrical fields as well as heavy mechanical
loads and strong vibrations.

• Sites, where the temperature drops below -10°C

or rises above 40°C.

• Do not install the gas detector in the air stream

from a fan or near doors or windows.

• Moisture-prone rooms such as bathrooms and

showers, in which the relative humidity can rise
above 95 %.

• Outside buildings, e.g. where open cases of gas

cylinders are stored.

• Enclosed areas (e.g. interior closets or areas

behind curtains), which would hinder the
device’s response in the event of a gas leak.

• Areas in which the sensor can become clogged

due to accumulation of dust or dirt.

• Immediately next to ovens, sinks or drains.
