These are TAMKO's application instructions for this product for the roofing conditions described herein.
Additional information concerning the proper installation of modified bitumen roofing systems is available in the
current NRCA Roofing Manual – Membrane Roof Systems. If any variances are found, the TAMKO application
instructions prevail. Specific information concerning this product may be obtained from TAMKO upon request.

TAMKO application recommendations represent our best judgment based on experience to date but are subject to change
and improvement as continued research and experience dictate. TAMKO reserves the right to alter, change or review the
application instructions to meet specific job or climatic conditions, or both. However, TAMKO shall have no liability with
respect to any supplemental advice or for variation from the recommended methods of application unless expressly set
forth in writing and signed by the Corporate Director of Technical Systems.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
FASTENING
For inclines of ¾ in. per ft. or greater, the AWAPLAN membrane shall be applied parallel (i.e. strap) to the slope of the roof
and fastened in all end laps. Fasten the membrane at intervals of 6 in. across the top of the sheet. All fastening shall be
done through flat metal caps or with nails with attached caps of a minimum 1 in. in diameter.
