Next, take the stock/receiver assembly and make certain that the safety button is
fully rearward in the “ON” (SAFE) position (Fig. 1).
To assemble the barrels to the receiver, the top lever must be locked in the extreme
right-hand position. Move the lever to the right until it stops and stays in the extreme
right-hand position.
The stock/receiver is now ready to accept the barrel assembly. To assemble the
barrel to the stock/receiver assembly, locate the half-round cuts in the barrel lug
(Fig. 2.5) and the round hinge pins inside of the receiver. With the barrel assembly
held approximately 45 degrees to the stock/receiver assembly, mate the round cuts
of the barrel assembly to pivot on the round receiver hinge pins.
