8 Overview
8.1 Display Description
The User Control panel consists of three
push buttons, a reset button and display,
which will indicate with symbols the status
of the boiler.
8.2 Switching On and Off
Switching on
- Check that the water and gas isolating
valves on the appliance are open and
the water flows freely from the hot
water taps, close the taps.
Do not operate without water
• Make sure that:
- The appliance has electrical power and
there is no demand from any external
controls.
- The digital display will indicate the
system pressure, which should read at
least 0.7bar (recommended 1.0bar). If
the pressure is less, connect the filling
loop and pressurise as described in the
Filling Loop section 9.2.
Switching Off
• Switch off the electrical supply.
- The appliance and the display will shut
down.
If you intend to leave
your property empty for a
prolonged period, refer to
the Appliance Safety Devices
section.
8.3 User Controls
If you are in any doubt about
the boiler being filled with
water contact your installer
or Glow-worm's own service
organisation using the
telephone number shown in
the chapter " Contact your
after-sales organisation".
• Press and hold the "MODE" button
for 2 seconds to enter Central Heating
function, indicated by a flashing .
Symbol Mode
Heating + domestic hot water
Heating only
Domestic hot water only
• After 5 seconds of inactivity the
display will reset to indicate the water
temperature.
• To select the Central Heating
temperature (38 - 82 o C) press the "+ or
-" selector buttons.
