OPERATION
BEFORE STARTING ENGINE:
1. Before starting, fill crankcase with oil as in
structed in the separate engine manual
packed with the unit.
2. Fill fuel tank with clean, fresh, lead-free, low-
lead, or regular grade leaded gasoline.

CAUTION
Be sure no one is standing in front
of the tiller while the engine is run
ning or being started.
1. Place the shift lever in the neutral (N) position.
See figure 13.

“START” position. See figure 13.
4. Stand at side of the tiller. Grasp the starter
handle and pull out rapidly. Return it slowly to
the engine. Repeat if necessary.
5. After engine starts, push choke knob in
gradually to “OFF” position.
TO STOP ENGINE:
1. Move throttle control lever to “STOP” posi
tion. See figure 13.
2. Remove spark plug wire from spark plug to
prevent accidental starting while equipment
is unattended.
HOW TO USE YOUR
TILLER
