LOCKING CUP
8. Slide the tiller forward so the universal drive shaft
can be attached to the P.T.O. shaft. See figure 13.
9. Slide end of universal drive shaft overend of P.T.O.
shaft and secure with set screws. See figure 13.
10. Preset the pull rods on the tractor, so you have
32-3/4 inches from hole center to hole center.

11. Preset turn buckle to 12-1/2 inches as shown.

12. Assemble turn buckle to tractor using the top
hole of bracket on tractor. See figure 13.
13. Assemble other end of turn buckle to tiller cover
bracket, using the top hole. Secure with clevis
pin (I) and hair pin (F). See figure 13.
14. After completeing step 13, raise and lower the
tiller attachment with the tractor lift lever, to
make certain the universal drive shaft does not
hit on bottom of transaxle.

Maximum tilling depth is approximately 7"
depending on the type of soil. This cannot be
accomplished in one pass. Maximum tilling depth
may be only 2-1/2" on extremely hard soil on
the first pass.

Remove the draw bar assembly from the three
point hitch of your tractor by removing the two
cotter hairpins.
6. Place tiller behind the tractor.
7. Remove the turn buckle from the tractor. Remove
chains and hook bolts from three point hitch.
ADJUSTMENTS
The dimensions shown in figure 13 will allow
approximately seven inches of tilling depth, and
approximately five inches of ground clearance.
