Tilt machine back and remove thumb nut from screw B, being careful not to lose felt washer, and
remove cover from underside of machine.
Oil each of places indicated by arrows and occasionally apply a small quantity of lubricant to teeth
of gears as shown.
Replace bottom cover.
THE MOTOR REQUIRES NO LUBRICATION.

ELECTRICAL INFORMATION
The SINGER* Electric Motor in the electric ma
chine is furnished for operation on an alternating
or direct current. Orders must state the catalogue
number of the motor, or the voltage, and in the
case of alternating current, the number of cycles.
Before Inserting Electric Plug A, be sure that
voltage and cycles stamped on electrical name
plate B are within range marked on your electric
meter installed by your power company.
Electrical Connections for Machine. Push 3-pin
terminal plug C on 3-pin terminal block at right
of machine and connect plug A at other end of
cord to electric outlet.
Speed Controller. The speed of machine is regu
lated by amount of pressure on the pedal of the
foot controller D or the knee lever.
