17. IV!ENDIWG
Patching
Set machin© as shown.
Place the patch over the worn
part.
Sew along the edge of the patch
on the right side. Trim away the
worn part close to the seam on
back side.
Mending a Rip
Set machine in the same way
as for patching.
Sew the edges of tear together
first.
Then sew two more seams on
either side.
A piece of gauze can be placed
underneath to reinforce the rip.
