THREADING MACHINE
I'o prevent breaking of the upper thread, it is essential to thread the machine as described Itelow:
a) Iking needle to its highest position by turning the balance wheel toward you.
Ы I'lace the spool of thread on one spool holder pin at the back of arm, and lead the thread
to the notched thretul guide <3)
Cl Draw the thretul down through the 'Fension Discs (36) from right to left.
d) Draw the thread up over the Wire Check Spring (27) and through the eye of the Retaining
Thread Guide Bar (28) from right to left.
e) Now teke the thread up through the eye of lake lip
Lever (2) and down through the thread guide (24)
f) Then hook into Wire Guide (24) attached to the
Needle Clamp and finally pass it from right to left
through the eye of the needle, leaving about four
inches of thretul hanging free.
The machine is now ready for sewing. !t is important
once the machine is threaded, to make certain that the
presser foot is down, tmd thtit there is fabric betw'cen
presser
foot
and
needle
plate.
Failure
th
observe
this
precaution may cause the thretids to get ttingled underneath
the needleplate, jtim the shuttle hook tmd dtimage or break
the needle.
